The Wiregrass Human Resource Management Association (WHRMA) members meet monthly to engage in, and discuss interesting and timely topics relevant to the human resource profession. These human resource forums are normally held on the second Wednesday of each month at 11:30 AM and may feature a guest speaker, a panel discussion, or a legal round-table group. A buffet lunch starts at 11:30, the meeting and speaker start at 12:00.

WHRMA will be meeting in various locations during 2012.  Each monthly meeting notice will list the location and cost.  Be sure to RSVP each month.  Members should watch for email reminders of the meetings about one week prior to the meeting. Reservations are made by contacting Laurie Edwards, lledward@ralcorp.com, or Clara Blitch, clarab@lbaproperties.com at least two days prior to the event. Current cost is $15 for members and $20 for guests.

Every year WHRMA joins with Troy University Dothan to present an HR Forum to the local area. The date for the thirteenth annual HR Forum event for 2012 will be posted soon. This special day will  include speakers, exhibitors, handouts, notebook, door prizes, give-aways, and lunch. A downloadable form of the brochure will be made available.

WHRMA earned SHRM’s Membership Superstar for 2011. Other awards include the Merit Award in 2004 and Superior Merit Award in 2005 & 2006. The Chapter Champion was awarded in 2008.
