    January 27, 2015

WHRMA is proud to announce that it is now a certified provider of educational topics and training for area Human Resources professionals seeking credit hours toward SHRM and HRCI Human Resource certifications.

SHRM recently rolled out its SHRM Certification Program based on demonstrated mastery of the competencies and knowledge that are most important to organizations as defined by the SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge.  Earning the SHRM-Certified Professional (CP) or SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SCP) credential makes you a recognized expert and leader in the HR field, keeping you and your organization more competitive in today’s economy.  Check out the program at www.shrm.org/certification .  HR Professionals currently holding HRCI’s certified Human Resources designations may apply for the SHRM certification by taking a tutorial and short test free of charge for the remainder of 2015.  The tutorial with the test requires approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete.  The system allows for you to save during your progress, exit, and return back to finish if needed.  You will have 10 days to complete the training once you have applied.  For those who do not already have Human Resource certifications, you can enroll in on-line training and request approval to take the full exam.

HRCI is recognized as the highest standard in the world for HR Professionals with over 135,000 HR Professionals in more than 100 countries currently holding certification.  HRCI offers the following certifications:  Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), Human Resource Management Professional (HRMP), Human Resource Business Professional (HRBP), and PHR/SPHR California Certification.  Holding an HRCI credential demonstrates relevance, competence, experience, credibility and dedication to human resources.  You may find more information regarding these certifications, training materials, and testing dates by visiting www.hrci.org .
